About
High Line
Paula Riepen – the face behind the name
I grew up in Wellington, New Zealand, and have been horse mad since before I could walk. I was lucky enough to spend my childhood years on a farm where I rode and made many memories throughout pony club. I knew school wasn’t for me and that my heart lay with the horses, however knuckled down to get my NCEA before committing myself to correspondence and horse skills. I moved to Whangarei and set up base with the Wilson sisters so I could focus on my passion and expanding my knowledge of all things horsey.
I have always thoroughly enjoyed producing young horses and found joy in watching foals develop through the stages and begin under saddle. It didn’t take me long to become hooked and I decided I didn’t want to buy another horse that had problems as that’s all I could afford. I wanted to produce a few quality foals a year, with the end vision of specialising in quality, coloured, warmbloods. I look forward to the upcoming years when the ones I have bred are out on the ring.
After having developed my own boutique stud it became evident that there was a niche in the market; a transport option with someone who treats every horse as their own – be it broodmares, foals, youngstock or riding horses. High Line Transport subsequently evolved, and I hope to bring an exceptional service for those who entrust me. I look forward to this venture and offering a caring and reliable transport service within New Zealand.
